Our Philosophy
Our origins
Dammuso was born of a move South - first to Malta 30 years ago and now onward to rural Sicily. And also from a desire to live more consciously and slowly, mindful of land and light.
Our two farmhouses - casali - still being renovated, stand on a hillside among carob, olive and fig trees, where the scents change with each season.
It is here that the idea for Dammuso life took shape: artisanal, simple luxury candles that capture the senses of this southern Mediterranean island for you to enjoy, wherever you call home.
Design with intention
Each Dammuso piece is crafted with care using vegetable waxes and cotton wicks. Inspired by the island's raw beauty, we formulate our fragrances in house so you enjoy a unique scent experience when you buy from Dammuso.
Our minimalist concrete vessels are in natural tones, their simple form reflecting a way of living rooted in authenticity and Sicilian landscape yet made for the modern home.
