Our Philosophy
Our Origins
Dammuso was born from a move south - first to Malta 30 years ago and now onward to rural Sicily - and from a desire to live more slowly, surrounded by the quiet rhythm of land and light.
Our two farmhouses, casali, still being renovated, stand among olive, carob and fig trees, where the scent of the air changes with each season. It is here that the idea for Dammuso took shape: artisanal luxury candles and home fragrances - profumi di casa - that capture this sense of this fascinating southern Mediterranean island for you to enjoy too, wherever you live.
Design with Intention
Each Dammuso piece is crafted with care using vegetable waxes and organic cotton wicks. Inspired by the island’s raw beauty, we formulate our fragrances in house to ensure you enjoy a unique scent experience when you buy from Dammuso.
Our minimalist concrete vessels are in natural tones, their simple forms reflecting a way of living rooted in simplicity and authenticity, yet made for the modern home.
